NAIA Top-25 Postseason Poll

KANSAS CITY – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics released its 2017 Softball Top-25 Postseason Poll on Wednesday, with Taylor finishing in the receiving votes section of the poll after the program's second-ever trip to the NAIA National Tournament.

TU earned 36 points in the ratings, down from the 58 points it received in the final regular season ratings on May 10. The Trojans were joined in the rankings by fellow Crossroads League members, No. 7 Marian and No. 10 Indiana Wesleyan.

The Trojans finished the 2017 campaign with a 39-18 record, including a 17-2 mark at Gudakunst Field and a 27-7 mark in Crossroads League play, finishing second in the standings to 7th-ranked Marian. Taylor's season ended in the opening round of the NAIA National Tournament, but not before TU knocked off No. 6 Lindsey Wilson to earn the program's second-ever victory in the national tournament.

TU also ranked among the NAIA's top-15 in hits (532), runs scored (338), doubles (115), doubles per game (2.0), home runs per game (0.8), runs batted in (303) and slugging percentage (.498), while setting several program records throughout the season.
